Yearly. The kids do grow and change and it's nice to have the progression.

Same, or only by family weddings, I have never hired someone. I don’t think it’s so hard to get good picture’s that we need a professional.

Never.
Still have more than enough good photos of them.
We didn't even have a professional photographer for our wedding. I prefer to prioritize other things.

More and more often. I see how I treasure the pictures we have and how I can't go back.

But if my youngest was older and the kids looked the same, I wouldn't bother.

By professional, though, I don't mean spending thousands of dollars. I mean getting someone with a good camera and making sure everyone is dressed properly, etc.

My mother's minhag is every baby gets professional photos at age 3 months, age 1 year, age 2 years. Any siblings can come along for the ride.

Never. We prefer real life rather than staged. I want to see what my kids were actually doing at the time. Those are more valuable memories for me.

Besides for newborn pictures I don’t take often at all. Last year a friend of mine was starting out and gave me a good deal so I took. This year I have an active toddler who would never cooperate so I didn’t bother.

I don't have kids yet but I'm a photographer and I'm imagining I'll constantly be taking photos/hiring another photographer. Photos are so important and meaningful!
Iyh generations will see them.

However, I do understand that photographers cost $$ so if I wasn't a photographer I'd probably do it every other year depending on my financial situation.

I had a photographer 3 times they werent cheap and I didnt find they came out better than if I would take them so I just do it myself

Not often because I hate my double chin. I was telling this to someone and she said "Why don't you just ask the photographer to edit it out?" Gamechanger!

For now I'm waiting for my baby to be a bit bigger, sitting/standing. We took pics when she was just born

I try for yearly. Sometimes it extends to 18 months. This year with multiple simchas BH we skipped the photo session but we had a photographer at the simcha.

not as often as I'd like cuz you know I need to cover the rent
this is precisely one of the expenses/must haves that just don't cut it

Every 4-5 years, but I when we do it, we do get someone very professional and do a whole outdoor shoot. the pics come out gorgeous.

When I was a kid my parents did it more often for us, but it was just at like the Walmart photo studio. Dont think these types of studios still exists?
