She’s an awesome 10 year old with a slew of issues. ADD, OCD to name a few. She’s on medication for ADD. She started these facial twitching and rapid eye blinking a few weeks ago. It honestly looks awful. Her friends are noticing and saying things. It honestly bothers me tremendously as well. I told her that I love her and I always thinks she’s beautiful no matter what but to other people it looks weird. I stop her when she does it which is probably not the right approach but it really pains me to see her doing it. Gonna call her doctor tomorrow. Her behavior is totally normal aside from this. What can be going on and how do we stop this?

It could be the medication but with all the other diagnoses going on I'd bet my bottom dollar she's got a boatload of brain inflammation going on.
For quick relief, try dye free ibuprophen twice a day until you're able to get more precise treatment.

The first step is ruling out the meds causing it. Call your psychiatrist or whoever is in charge of the meds and tell them first thing tomorrow.

She’s been on the same meds for years already. (Methylphenidate) It makes sense that it would start out of the blue from meds?
