I'm so hot and itchy and uncomfortable, I feel like I want to rip my hair out! I want to shave my head, my hair feels so uncomfortable under a tichel!
Did anyone do this & not regret it?

I think hair has to be shaven or long enough or go into a pony. The in between length is painful when hairs get pressed down/pulled in all directions

I did a pixie and loved it at first and then hated it. It grew back, so no harm done. I’m glad I tried it since it’s something I’d been wanting to do for a while.

I shaved my head 2 summers ago. Best decision I ever made!! I shave every few weeks now

I did have to get a new sheitel because my old one was too big on me, but I also had a ton of hair before so it was a big change

You should ask your husband if he minds if you shave..

I'm chassidishe so it's a normal concept for me. When I got married I shaved, but then wanted to grow it in. I was extremely uncomfortable and itchy and hot. So I just started shaving again. It's airy and free.
But definitely something u need to discuss with your husband since it's a total diff look then with hair.

My husband doesn't care.
I think I'll do it, I'm just too uncomfortable.

I shave because I’m chassidish but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I had gorgeous hair, but now I have gorgeous wigs without having to carry around my sweaty oily hair all day, especially when it would never see the light of the day anyway. Coming out of the shower and wiping your head with a towel and you’re dry - ahhhhh mechaya! Going to sleep without a wet stain on my back and a sopping pillow- yum!

Chassidish and shave and love it too. If your husband doesn't care I don't see why you shouldn't. Worst case if you regret you can always grow it in.

That’s easier said than done, the growing in process is very tough

Chances are according to her posts on this thread that she won't regret it. She'll probably love it and be way more comfortable. Still it's not a permanent risk.

Ugh. I shave and the minute my bald head gets sweaty in this yucky heat my head feels oily.

You can put on an extra large cotton kipa type of thing, to absorb the sweat.

Could be bought in some tichel stores in chassidish areas.

If you're itchy, it's probably a scalp thing and probably won't go away if you shave.
