I'm also looking for ideas!

Some of my kids will eat sandwiches, most won't. They like hot food. It makes trips so challenging.

Schnitzel or tuna patties are always a hit by us.
Tuna pasta salad also.
If I have access to hot water we will bring with pot noodle and round deli containers and share them for the younger kids, older kids I suppose have one each- not at that stage yet.

My kids aren't that fussy eating cold past or petitim (couscous) so I will make each kid a deli container of protein (as above and I've also done cold grilled chicken breast) and pasta/petitim and they enjoy to sit on the grass and eat it. And when they need, to do a run around before returning to eat. I find the individual containers make it more of a fun thing for them.

I appreciate the ideas to try, but curious about what your older kids eat out and about? If they don't eat salad/fruit, don't get filled up with crackers etc. Do they just eat sandwiches? Cold fleishig?

For DH and myself we always make sure to have a filling lunch for on the go or before depending on what time we leave.
Something like rolls or bread with parve sausages, egg- either boiled and sliced or omelet style.
Personally I don't like becoming fleishig mid day I need a 6pm coffee but if it wouldn't be a problem I prob would also do grilled chicken or sliced chicken/meat.
