These threads resonate with me. I've done alot of healing work (and still have a way to go). I like doing my inner work from a Lena of how can I better myself to show up better foe thise around me, rather than analyzing what my parents may have done wrong. I find the latter approach only helps me to feel resentful.
But yes, I do struggle to be there for my kids emotionally, and I want to connect better, and better understand their emotional words and care for those needs, I am at a loss of how. I have read lots of gentle parenting books, and while many ideas speak to me, and many how to seem like they could be effective I think I am missing something deeper to actually be able to parent the way I want to.
All this to say.. does anyone have book or lecture recommendations that cover the topic from the parents angle? Like on how to become that emotionally available and nurturing parent? (Not techniques - the inner work aspect)

Post Traumatic Parenting podcast - she's a frum psychologist, she's coming out with a book but for now you can listen to her podcast and follow her on insta.
I also think therapy can really helps with this to do the deeper work.
