For anyone still considering I've heard that Davos stopped giving the free cable car cards. So it can come out costly if you're going with family.
In Most places in Switzerland, hotels will provide cards that are active for your stay and provide free access to all cable cars and sometimes buses in the city.
I highly recommend Arosa Switzerland
Haven't been to Austria yet
