Are you talking about canteen money? Spending money? Half of Summer, full summer?

You mean nosh bin?
Yes, it's a bit more than I spent but I think it's in range of today's normal.
No, it is not normal by any means! I have no idea how this became OK and all parents send it.

None. My kid brought her own money and bought her own snacks before camp.

I spent $60 on the canteen (so far. He still has almost another 2 weeks of camp). Probably about $20 worth of food he took with him. I just sent him a package of another $30 worth. That had better be enough!!!

Do you supply snacks for said child during the rest of the year?

Yes. The camp provides plenty of food, though, so I don’t buy extra. She’s happy with this arrangement. I limit the junk food I buy at home, but she’s welcome to buy whatever nosh I wouldn’t buy with her own money.

I'm scared to add up the expenses....I spread shopping over a few weeks but I guestimated around $150 and ordered drinks from camp+ way too much for canteen (which I don't yet know how much he will use)

Much more than you. Ds is in camp for both half’s and the nosh box the canteen and the money he takes out when they go on trips I can’t anymore. And I give much less than many boys.

He spent about 120 in the grocery plus stuff that we had at home- prob around 30-40 dollars worth including noodle soups.
He has 200-250 for canteen) from myself, his father and grandparents.
He doesn’t use it for nosh- he uses it primarily for food when he doesn’t like the meals (which is often). I would rather he buy shnitzel than eat nosh.
And he is the type of kid to just not eat and then be hangry. Most days in school he doesn’t eat the lunch and eats a double dinner at home (for those saying- if he’s hungry enough..)
