I am looking for a new dairy 6 qt pot. I mostly use it for cooking up pasta etc..
Any recommendations for a good quality pot that will last and is not too expensive (under $50).

IDK current prices but Macy's tools of the trade is decent quality and moderately priced, esp if you wait to buy on sale.

Their pots and pans are great. This has a strainer in the lid.
