but this week was revealed that she's divorced, Daniel is her kid
And that she knows she can't marry him because he's a kohen

I wish that didn't happen. He seems so interesting , and unless she wants to travel around the world with him it feels like killing him to leave him stuck in a boring old frum city.

It only mentioned him once before I think. It's Penina's son but the writer makes you think it's her husband until its revealed.

Interesting..
I was thinking that his need to travel the world and escape came from an unhealthy place of not being happy.
She obviously appreciated his personality if she got engaged to him.

That would be a super interesting twist! But she really dislikes him, she's still hurt.

And she seems normal, he's so quirky. But guess they were somewhat compatible, they were engaged once....

Now I'm going back and reading the archives. The body in the grave was a DNA match for another Cohen they had on file. But Rivi's DNA wasn't a match with the body. They haven't yet tested their father's DNA or their grandmother's (last week the officer asked for consent to test those), but previously the officer made some strange comments about not knowing how the grandmother is related. We haven't been told yet about Gabe's DNA results, but it is possible he and Rivi aren't biological siblings.

I'm not sure how the whole Cohen issue plays into this, though I'm sure it will.

In any case, we know so far that Rivi isn't biologically related to the body in the grave. And the body in the grave is a Cohen.

Rivi's father assumed someone else's identity? He wasn't actually a Cohen, and that's why there was already a body in his grave. It wasn't actually his grave.
