Looking for ideas for keeping my one year old entertained on an upcoming 12 hour flight, he's too young for puzzles and stickers and drawing etc.. but already veryyy active. He likes books. Any other ideas? (Don't say videos!) Thank you!
Adding that he just turned one and is really still a baby

Would highly encourage an extra seat with a good carseat for naps. The only thing that keeps us sane on long flights.

Books and Toys that are new to him.

We liked this book, but helps to have variety.

Take walks to the bathroom standing area.

Lots of luck!

If you can please get him a seat for safety so he’s strapped in, in case of turbulence. If you really can’t cuz it’s thousands of dollars then at least take along a carrier so you can wear him in case of turbulence. I once flew with a baby without a seat and never again, was way too scary.

Ideas for baby though:
At 12 months old you can introduce to XL chunky crayons https://a.co/d/84y1K0e , https://a.co/d/j2XAhHR
Paint books that use water to “paint” or the qtips.

Suction toys that stick to the window / tray that he can play with. https://a.co/d/bvPf7uY , https://a.co/d/eEsYUs4

One time honored trick. I giftwrap small "presents" and give them to the kids periodically as needed. It doesn't need to be anything major or expensive. Stickers, little cars, paper dolls, washable markers, healthy snacks, those little activity bokks by Dover publishing..... One time I was short a present for one child and giftwrapped a raisin box! She was still excited.
