I'm doing a diamond ring too. Mine got lost a few years ago. I think one of my cuties dumped it. Both together will between $3200-$3500

If I remember correctly mine are 40 pointers or somewhere between 40 and 50.
The diamond ring is aprox 2-2.5 carat.

40-50 pointers. Depending on the setting of the diamond ring. The diamond ring is 2-2.5 carat. I'm still in the middle of choosing exactly. The sizes of the diamonds we didn't determine exactly yet because I want both rings to sort of match. I told her my budget is no more than $3500 and she told me it will most likely be 2-3 hundred less.
I don't want to post yet where I'm doing it to prevent outing myself being that I'm still actively in contact with the jeweler. I'm doing it in the tri state area. Not that it helps you. Lol.

wow, this sounds very very cheap!
I did a 2 carat center stone plus 50 pointer side stones for around 5k (didn't include an eternity band!)
and I priced around at the time...

Side stones won't be big. She says if the side stones will be big then they will swallow the center stone especially if I want to wear it together with the eternity band. She recommended a solid solitaire setting but I really dislike them. That's when we came up with 2 side stones but not big ones.

It's sounds cheap but I think it's a great price because I priced diamond ring settings those that were worn 15 years ago. Those have plenty of diamonds on the setting too and those were in the $2500- 3k range with the center stone. So a simpler setting is priced accordingly. This is lab grown. Lab grown diamonds are alot cheaper than mined diamonds. I have a daughter in shidduchim. I told my husband this week I want lab grown jewelry only. I have son after her and that's what I'm buying. It's equally gorgeous for so cheaper. It's a chaval to buy mined diamond jewelry these days.

Even most tennis bracelets are not more than 5 carat. |
I don’t think so… my tennis bracelet is .25 pointers I believe, which is relatively small in my circles and comes out to a little over 8 carats.
I do have a half eternity but I don’t consider it like a real eternity band, I wear it instead of my wedding ring, next to my engagement ring. The diamonds are quite small, about .10-.15 pointers

I’m looking into upgrading my ring into a lab grown one. I was looking at an 8ct engagement ring from Bloomingdales for 13k.
Lab grown is cheaper.

100 000? I'd rather a bigger apartment or this could be switching from apartment to house or down-payment for all children

Real Jewelry is one thing I'd never buy online or a department kind of store. I want a reputable Jeweler. Besides the point, that many times you get better deals by these private people which is probably why I'm getting such a a good deal.

First of all, 13k for that ring is a really good deal. My jeweler has 3ct stones for 5k
I actually know people who get diamonds from Bloomingdales and they’re very reputable. My sister has an engagement ring from there, it’s a certified stone and she got a good deal on it
I’m not talking about Macys or Kohls

I love how the big side stones look flanking the center diamond...doesn't swallow it at all..totally enhances it...
but I don't wear it with an eternity band...
I think a 40 pointer plus eternity band belongs on a different finger than an engagement ring regardless....
also I did ovals for my eternity band and they're probably a bit more than 40 pointers so it really is a stand alone type of ring.....

I paid 2200 for lab grown I think 30 or 40 pointers emerald cut halfway around. Round would have been a little more than half of that.

It depends on your budget and what you are looking for.
Local Jewelers can be very overpriced.
I purchased a lab grown solitaire necklace online that was beautiful and cheaper than anything I could get in person. Same for a lab grown bar necklace. I also got a diamond by the yard bracelet and half tennis bracelet all online and I am happy with these purchases. I would have spent at least 30% more in local stores. I did buy one thing online that I am not super thrilled with and wouldn't have purchased if I'd seen it first but it was relatively inexpensive and I still like it enough to be happy.
I think it depends how picky you are and how standard your jewelry will be. Something standard that can be bought anywhere like a round cut tennis bracelet or a basic eternity band that is not anything unique, can be shopped around for. The reputable online places list all the info such as clarity, cut, carat, color on their site and you can buy with relative confidence.
Something unique and very specialized needs to be done with a Jeweler. Right now I'm saving up for a color gemstone bracelet. I don't want to buy online because I have a vision of what I want and not just a standard look I can find online. When I have a few thousand saved, I will work with a private Jeweler to make something.

I'm not quite understanding. Which one is more expensive emerald cut or round?
