you can easily say that the job wasn't working out.

Save any harrasment emails or texts you get from boss, supervisor and coworkers ... Than leave and file for unemployment saying they changed job description and you couldn't keep up. I did that a few years ago and got all the unemployment benefits I was due

Unless you were fired for incompetence, insubordination, or criminal activity, you have nothing to be ashamed of. Tell people you were "laid off" or "downsized," which means fired for reasons having to do with the company's health rather than with your performance.

If you were terminated due to poor performance, ask your former employer to list the specific reasons for the termination. This will tell you what not to do at your next job.

Yeah, you can't focus on something in a vacuum without looking at the big picture. The salaries are so inflated now and it's being justified by the high cost of living. All that is true, but then when bosses are paying inflated salaries they generally look for ways to accommodate it. So they may raise the prices of their goods or they will look to maintain the minimum number of positions and get rid of the others.
