This barely says anything about you.
It does what people tell it to do but much faster.

It can only say what you can easily google. It’s googling for you and writing a summary. It’s not scary.

That's because I'm not a frequent poster, and don't post identifying details under my username. But it is scary how easy it is to find information on someone who's active on social media. And to think that this is just the beginning of this technology!

And someone who's active on social media obviously doesn't care.
But someone that has 50,000 Instagram followers and announces to the world every time they eat an apple, is offering the planet identifying details and wouldn't care that AI can give accurate info about them so quickly.

Haha, love it! You just visualized my fears. Are all of the names playoffs of real people? I only recognized Elon Musk.

Which AI chatbot did you use? I just asked MetaAI and it wasn’t able to give me information about specific users on imamother.

Also, I am so exhausted by state of AI right now. I was working on a blog post just now on Shopify. They’re like: tell me what you wanna say and what tone you wanna use and I’ll write it for you! Um, no thanks. No ones interested in reading your regurgitated word salads (can I use this word here or only in reference to Kamala?)
And the;I went to adobe stock to find a nice photo, and ALL of the first page results were full of a million variations on the same AI generated trash. Stealing money from talented photographers who actually paid for their gear and training and use real time and talent.

I’m not sure you understand what word salad is.

I live with a digital strategist and an AI programmer, do you better believe I understand AI. Also, I understand mental health and degenerative disorders. |
Just want to add that I am not American and if I were, I would not be a Democrat.

Haha this is fun. I have ChatGPT-4o (the paid version which is quite advanced) and this is what it gave me:
Me: What can you tell me about Ravenclaw the poster on imamother?
ChatGPT-4o: Ravenclaw is a well-known user on Imamother, an online forum catering primarily to Orthodox Jewish women. The user is recognized for their articulate, thoughtful, and often witty contributions to various discussions on the forum. They are named after the “Ravenclaw” house from the Harry Potter series, which is associated with wisdom, wit, and learning—traits that reflect their online persona.
Ravenclaw tends to engage in a range of topics, from halachic discussions to parenting, education, and community issues. They are respected for their balanced and insightful perspectives, often bringing a unique or creative angle to conversations. Despite the serious nature of many topics on Imamother, Ravenclaw’s posts are often sprinkled with a touch of humor, making them a popular figure among the forum’s participants.
Their contributions to the forum are generally well-received, and they have a reputation for being helpful, knowledgeable, and engaging in civil discourse, even on contentious issues.

I’m not as educated as you so the only times I hear the term “word salad” is in ref to Kamala. If I google it, her name comes up on almost every result on the first page. Welcome to American politics.
Now, if Ai can “hallucinate” (according to Open AI), which is also a very serious mental health term, why can’t it word salad?

Well, if you can Google it, it must be true. You just go with that.
SMH.

Btw I used to feel the same. But I realized it’s a tool, it’s new tech but there’s no going back in time. Learning to use it properly is key.
Think of it as a sewing machine: having it won’t make you suddenly able to produce gorgeous clothes. But if you are a skilled tailor it will make you able to produce more in less time.
You need to know how to write to use it properly. You need to be familiar with the different kinds and the paid versions are generally better. And you can’t ask it to write an article for you—but you can feed it one section/paragraph at a time with a decent and detailed prompt and then edit it.
I can write an article with ChatGPT’s help in an hour. If it was just a matter of copy-paste it would take two minutes. But it’s not if you don’t want “word salad” as you say.
But writing an article without the extra help takes me around 4 hours. So that’s the difference.

It’s invaluable at that, and I’ve been using it for the past 2 years. What upsets me is when every other article, product description, product review, email, photo and advertisement is AI generated without any human intervention. Soon, content won’t have any value left.
