What about places in the gush? There are yishuvim so not city like like rbs and more out in nature. Some are more frum than others and some more American than others. The frummer ones I know of are maleh amos and meitzad.

To the people recommending the Gush- the op said her husband is Yeshivish. Do you think the gush is the right fit??
OP- If you want something colorful and nice you may find your place in Rechavia/ Shaarei chessed. There are hippy types, not frum, and yeshivish all in one area. But a 3 bedroom apt starts at 1.5 million dollars.

From the first post I've been thinking Rechavia but I don't know much about the area only one or 2 people from there and op could definitely fit in if looking based on them.
Every chareidi community does have people like OP, even in Neve Yaakov I can think of some but they are not the majority and definitely not from the younger generation that is living here now. Which will make it a lot harder to find your place and fit in.
I don't know about other areas but where I live in Neve Yaakov smartphones and internet is much more normal but being an Anglo is what makes me different.
Either way OP as someone very shy who did Aliyah you really have to fight that and put yourself fully out of your comfort zone to settle and not feel lonely

If you come on a pilot trip OP definitely check out rechavia shaarei chessed, try to spend a shabbos there. It has so much character and life and history, I feel like you would fall in love instantly. And there are plenty of yeshivish people living there so your husband will also feel comfortable. Apparently rent isn't terrible there, but buying there is very expensive.

Apart from Rechavia, I was thinking about Petah Tikva which is close enough to TA and BB so you are both served
