Yes this. A mohel does not (or is not supposed to) charge, but you are supposed to give him $ as a thank you.

Our Mohel is a very chashuv and experienced Mohel. He is very Erlich and won't accept payment.
He does around 3 a day and is highly sought after. He does the bris the old fashioned way which is less painful for the baby but more crying during the actual bris which we prefer eventhough it makes people uncomfortable.
Usually nowadays, the prep is done before the bris which is very uncomfortable for the baby but there is less crying at the actual bris.

Not sure exactly what you meant to say, but no, it’s a job. This is how a mohel earns a parnassa. I’ve made 3 brisses, I think the last one we paid around $750 for the mohel. Before that prob around $500

Also free in crown heights. This specific mohel will absolutely not take money mo matter how hard you offer, he's not trying to be nice and hoping you insists. and he's a wonderful mohel

We always used Rabbi Romi Cohen zt’l. He wouldn’t take payments. We sent a bouquet of flowers for shabbos to his house as a thank you.

That’s on them to skip work. What I was saying is it makes no difference. You pay any mohel, because it’s a parnassah. I know only one mohel that’s a dr. It’s very uncommon anyway
And don’t know what you mean by fame?
Also, most people make brissim before work so no one has to skip work…

You pay the name if you want a star. Lol
There are many doctors.
Many are in the morning but not so early also other visits aren't so early.
That's why they're more expensive
