YIDDISH FARM for now. Kosher and shomer shabbes.
Yes, alia is a good idea in a dati kibbutz or yishuv. There are even yeshivish yishuvim.
I miss the times of frum rural Jewry. There were MANY such among yekes, but also in Poland, etc.
There is nothing wrong or weird with this. There were even Jewish Italian women doing shechita. She is NOT weird and doesn't have to stop being frum or being less frum. My husband and I have a animal care degree. In another time we probably could have had a farm, except we can't do shechita and I get attached so I wouldn't sell the animals for slaughter either. We've had animals we bred (as pets). Another thing: Jewish zoo in Jlem and Jewish biblical museum in Ramat beth shemesh. Totally out there idea: what if you call rabbi Slifkin from the biblical museum??
my kids all love animals but Goldale Heart loves them best, this is a real pic with a background https://scontent-cdg4-2.xx.fbc.....EDF5C

I appreciate all the helpful posts.
I find it difficult to get info about Israeli school programs from NBN without actively being in the process of aliyah.
Any college programs in Israel in agriculture like “animal sciences”, “animal nutrition”? DD is looking into such programs in the states but maybe the US practices are not transferable so much to Israel. She has college money in a 529. I believe those monies can be used in housing if she goes to school in Israel instead of the US.

Also, anyone know if taking the SAT after high school for purposes of school in Israel is possibly useful. She has only taken the ACT.

First of all yes - the SAT is necessary if she doesnt want to do psychometry, although it might not be relevant if she needs to do mechina for the language anyways. The other way to go would be undergrad in the states in a university recognized here, ( there is a list somewhere, but most state schools are on it) and then do graduate school here. If she

I think she needs to decide what is really calling to her. Is it a homesteading/farm lifestyle or is it a career with animals. Those are two very different things and directions, and while both can be done with a frum family and lifestyle - the don't necessarily match.

Homesteaders tend to find work that brings in cash from limited hours working from home so that they can take care of the property and animals. If she wants to work with animals and do this - I think animal or horse therapy would be the way to go.
She can also do dog training - there are all types of specialties with this, like training seeing eye dogs and therapy dogs. Let me know if you want info on this.

An agricultural career with a degree can include working with animals, but it tend to be very full time and intensive, and that doesn't really leave time to develop a homestead. If that's what she wants here are a bunch of leads - but finding an israeli career counsler may be the way to go, they will know all the programs and what she needs to get in.

Upthread I posted the Hebrew U in english agriculture programs - here it is again - there are a couple of options that may interest her.

Good points to consider.

A complete 180 question. I am guessing the MBA 360 program at HU is competitive and unlikely to consider a BS in Business Admin from Sara Schenirer.

Seeing she has her BS from Sara Schenirer, you should know that just because uni in Israel is Jewish it doesn't mean it's in any sense frum. Between it being Israeli and being probably atheist, she may get a culture shock so big she can't cope. If she wants something more charedi, the Seminar Hechadash have an animal therapy track where the girls come out as certified in animal therapy.

Every university or college will decide what us undergrad degree they will recognize.
In general - the frum ones are not good enough. Even people who have degree's from touro or YU need to jump thru hoops, depending on the field - but definitely not the ones from the yeshvish programs.

I have never heard of someone who went to a good state school have a problem.

I really recommend finding a good american israeli career counselor - maybe someone from RBS can help make a recommendation, they will have more knowledge of programs and what would work for the lifestyle she wants.

For example - you are looking at an MBA - usually that is used in super corporate environments in big cities, really doesnt fit with what you described her lifestyle.
