Has anyone taken the train up?
Is it scary? Is it nice?
I think I would be scared to go by car, especially the way down, how is the train?

What about the Conway or hobo train?
Are there any other trains there?

Has anyone done any of the trains in New Hampshire? Would you recommend?

The cog railway is a bit scary, but fun because it's practically the only one of it's kind. I've done it in a car, but am always scared for the brakes. Paying for the special vans was a very nice experience.

Are the special vans private? Do we drive it ourselves or do they drive?
Is the train scarier than driving?

The train is a very cool experience up mt. Washington. It’s bumpy and at a steep slant but worth doing. The other railways are scenic regular train rides.

We did the van to avoid driving our car up. It was a very nice experience.

We did the train twice and it was absolutely worth it. It looks scarier when you watch it than it actually is being on it. The vsns are with a group. Driving up yourself can kill your cars breaks, but I know people who did it and really enjoyed it.

The videos of the train look so cool but I can’t decide!!
Would love to hear from someone who did both the train and driving up which one is less scary
Are the vans rentals that you drive yourself or do they drive for you?

We did both.
Both are really nice, however going with the van can be scary, if any. Didn't find the cog railway to be scary. Enjoy!

Defintely do the cog railway! It is way less scary than driving. If you drive yourself be prepared to use engine braking and a low gear on the way down so that your brakes don't overheat.
