either these or the regular school chinos in slim fit
they are more durable than the cat and jack ones and are also adjustable

I don’t think it’s adjustable but they are slightly thicker than targets. They sell them 2/$12 on amazon

They didn't hold up on my super skinny toddler. I needed to take them in by the waist. Just saying if that's what you're dealing with.

If you have a target near you my local store had plenty in stock. They’re having a sale inventory always sells out during sales online.
