Night terror

My happy go lucky easy chilled 7.5 yr old of waking up every night crying. This is a new thing never happened every night another story one night something hurts the next night he scared… is this normal for his age? How should this be dealt with?

That doesnt sound like night terrors.
During night terrors, kids dont wake up. They are not able to wake up or really communicate with you.
If your child is literally waking up and talking to you, something else is going on.
My child had noght terrors ehen she was about 4. She would wake screaming. Id go and try to comfort her. Nothing worked. She wasnt able to even hear me. I just tried to calm her down until.it passed.

Make sure she goes to bathroom before bed every night, when she is crying let her come in your bed or similar. I have this and it worked
