My DH and I are new youth directors for a shul (very modern). We need programming for rosh hashanah yom kippur. Something for all ages preschool to high school basically. THey can't sit and listen to a shiur but I really want it something with content. Does anyone have ideas?? ANd I need answers ASAP for obvious reasons and I am supposed to e-mail the shul by tomorrow.
We also need babysitters who should I ideally by non jewish. We know a lot of the other shuls use public school teachers but the one school I call said I would need to hang up flyers.
I am HORRIBLE and have no idea how to do things like this, the organizational part I am creative and great with kids but to me slow torture would be easier but DH has said I have to get it done by TOMORROW and I am freaking out (and not sleeping).
I really want something creative for the programming. The fact that I think I am coming down w/ some sort of cold and that we have to go on a shabbaton this week (for a different job) aren't helping.

do you mean that you are giving a plan for what teh kids should do while everyone is davening? or are you loooking for activities pre yom tov?
if its for activities pre-yom tov, I saw a link on this site recently chinuch.org, with ideas for all ages. I only browsed through the craft projects but there are other stuff.
also for preschoolers, maybe do interactive storytelling of Yonah and the Whale, or teh story of Gedalia you can act it out.
