My child was at fault in a car accident and totalled the car. We are grateful that he is ok and no one got hurt. However he received a summons. Anyone hired an attorney in NJ to help deal with this?

Contact ur car insurance
They usually handle the lawsuits

Contact your car insurance their attorneys should handle this That’s what your insurance is for.

You should not be hiring an attorney without talking to your insurance. That's what they're there for and they have attorneys that work for/with them.

By summons do you mean he got a ticket from the police because he caused the accident? If yes this is related to his drivers license and he’s either getting fines and points or suspension etc. I don’t think the car insurance deals with that part.
