I'm getting emails from Jewish clothing stores about getting fall clothes in during the three weeks. Why can't they wait until after? It's encouraging people to shop during this time.

(I also think it's too early to buy fall clothes, but that's a separate topic)

They haven't told you to shop If you need then you have the choice.
Once, when I finally had the chance to buy a next size of clothes for my newborn I noticed all stores are closed because of the 9 days. It was a huge disappointment. I had to wait a month for another opportunity to go out shopping. Or at another occasion when I was visiting in a different Yiddish neighborhood and needed a new set of clothes in a hurry for that day and it was at this 3 week time

You don’t know that. Someone who is visiting from out of state or out of the country.. someone who has someone willing to pay for it now… people have complicated lives. We need to control ourselves and do what’s right and not demand that no one has access to what they need because we lack control.

So don't shop. A store can't shut down for 3 weeks. And ppl have various reasons for needing to shop during this time. Nobody is forcing you to buy anything. If your so worried about clothing selling out you are probably part of the problem. I don't give it a second thought.

Do you mean 9 days?? It’s the 3 weeks you can shop if you’d like. And no one is forcing you. Let businesses be businesses.

Look I don't shop until the black Friday sales. But it totally doesn't bother me if people shop now. And you are allowed to.shop in the three weeks.

You don't need to buy winter clothes now. So don't buy now. Others may need to buy now. We don't all need to do the same thing. Everyone does what works for them.
We're allowed to shop during the 3 weeks.

I agree that the middle of summer feels early, but to be dan l'kaf zchus, as the mother of a mesivta boy who goes to yeshiva in a different city, now is the only time to shop where he can actually try things on. He is home for a few days and leaving for camp next week, then returning home a few days before Rosh Chodesh Elul, when it will be a huge rush to get everything in time if his pants need to hemmed, etc. I wish we didn't have to shop now, but we do. Just trying to give some perspective on one situation where there may be a need.
