Depends on size and layout.
If it's a 3 bedroom in a single house or a duplex, it tends to be 3 decent size bedrooms with some space
A 3 bedroom in a townhome development might have 3 bedrooms, but it's smaller and much more crowded. Therefore cheaper.

This makes sense.

The Masa UMatan is currently at 10 pages, vs just 2/3 a few years back. Have you noticed prices dropping at all due to changes in supply and demand?

I can barely afford my $2700 mortgage on a tiny house:(
How are all these young couples affording this? just from support? I had to work really hard for 10 years to get to my salary I'm making now. Just working for 2-3 years, how much are you making for 2k alone to be going to pay rent?

Officially 3 bedroom but one room is tiny and we use it as playroom/ study. Moved in about 7 years ago. It’s a typical townhouse down route nine, not a duplex

Wow! I see downthread that you moved in 7 years ago. Has your landlord raised you at all during this time?

It depends on location and type of basement. If it's in an end unit it has windows in all rooms, you could charge more. For one that only has windows in the front and back, you can't charge as much.
If the place is brand new you can also charge more.
Lately though, I've seen the rent going down. Many new houses with basements that are newer and bigger are constantly being built. The older ones end up having to go down in price.

My tenant moved in 3.5 years ago. Started at $1,100 after 2 years raised them to $1,200. But most basements in the development are going for closer to $1,500 now. Disclaimer, the 3rd “bedroom” doesn’t have a window. So technically it’s more like 2+den/study.

$1300 in a belz development, moved in a few months ago. The ads say $1,500 but you can negotiate lower. There are a lot of empty apartments in the area due to a ton of new construction and landlords just want a tenant already.

Would you mind telling me which development? I have been trying desperately to find a townhouse in the Belz development without succes

Check the Masa Umatan.
I saw today, multiple basements in Belz.
