I need to get a gift for my husbands friend that had a baby girl, I need ideas what to get, I don't want to get anything in the clothing family, I want to get her something that is useful but one wouldn't buy it just like that herself, but is appreciated if received.
waiting to hear your ideas..
TIA

How old is the baby? A nice toy that is practical and useful is always nice.

A pink bundle me.
Even if they already have one--some people like the convenience of 2 so you don't have to move it from the stroller to the car seat....
You could also always get a nice baby photo album and frame set--we got a few of those!
Are you in a situation where you could ask if there's something specific that they need? How much are you looking to spend?

I'm not sure where you are, but just look for 'diaper cake' on Google and see what comes up! They could be expensive ready made though- I'm not sure

diapers are always a good gift along with something cute. I got my friend a bathrobe/towel set and a little set of baby wash, shampoos, and lotions.

I like to get this for my friends along with something else. usually an outfit or blanket. you can give it with a towel set, you can never have too many baby towels.

I don't know how much you want to spend but this site has some really cute blankets, stroller pads etc.

I know you said nothing clothing related but when you said you were looking for something that would be appreciated if received but one wouldn't buy for oneself, I thought of trumpette socks.

My girls each have one of these, given to them by a friend of my mother's. They are very soft and wash very well in the washing machine. They are their special "boobahs" to this day. I am pretty sure the person who bought them got them at JC Penny, but I found a pic only on ebay.
