My 5 year old asks questions on gravity and the world... like if the world is round then how come I don't slip when I walk outside and why does the street look flat and why dont people fall off the world and how is it night and day.... where did he come from lol.. but seriously how do I cater to a mind who doesn't stop thinking and needs to busy constantly? I was never like this...is this average?

I love the Efraim harrari books! They answer all those kinds of questions in a very kosher Torahdik way

It is adorable. Of course it isn't average. He's a brilliant child keh.

I used to have such questions and my parents really didn't have the time to answer them.

My questions were non stop.
I have children like this. Its not easy to satisfy them.

I like the recommendations here.

It's not average, he's probably gifted. Get used to it, and start buying tons of books lol

My 6 year old has been like this since he could talk. We go to the library every week and take out books about his current interest. Last week it was all about how engines work and, randomly, cheetahs. The week before he was interested in service dogs. The week before that it was street cleaners and the week before that it was hotshots (firefighters who fight wildfires). There's always something new to learn and the librarians love helping him find books about whatever he's interested in. There are also big books of random questions that are a lot of fun.

All my kids are like this and my siblings and I were as well.
I never viewed it as gifted (although we all were/ are at the top of our classes ) ..
I view it as a Bracha - it’s an incredible world full of wonder and niflaos haborei.
And there are loads of resources too.
Lots to look at , read about , think about .
Idk where you are located but take trips to museums. Get National Geographic children’s books. Let him watch magic school bus videos .
Have conversations and enjoy!

This. They also have a microscope that is more science focused.

Yes my son is like this. For sure library. Take him to the kids non-fiction section they have books on everything under the sun. Let him ask the children’s librarian for what he wants.

That’s me and my kids to various degrees. I teach my boys to read and buy lots of encyclopedias. I still answer many many questions all the time. If I don’t know the answer we look it up together.
