What to wear under a white top

I’ve noticed recently in the playground that many mothers wear plain white tops. I wanted a white top for a particular outfit so bought a few different ones online to try, but ended up returning as I couldn’t find a way to make my bra or cami top not visible (I tried both white and nude under). Is there a secret or did I just not find the right top?

whatever you're wearing underneath should be nude. But yeah, it can be hard to find a white top that isn't see through.

I usually buy a size bigger for the white top, and then wear 3/4 white shell underneath

For an all white top, I usually buy at the Jewish stores as I'm more likely to find something non see through (S&W, Fashion Island, etc).
Otherwise I have to wear a whole 2nd top to line it. (I did it once for a great dress I really liked but was see through.)

Everyone I know gets the Aritzia bodysuits which are lined in the front/back so you can’t see underneath. Personallg I’m very happy with my Abercrombie white long sleeve bodysuit which is fully lined arms as well, but it was half the price and returnable unlike Aritzia which was final sale

Ok, random post huggers. It’s true. Just do a basic google search. Here’s an excerpt from one article. I tried it out myself

A "tee shirt bra" is designed to be smooth and invisible even under clingy knits.

I only have the Abercrombie one which is not low cut at all, and it is somewhat tight yes, it’s definitely not a baggy shirt

Really? I didn’t believe it worked when I first heard it so I ordered a cheap red bra just to try it out and it worked for me

Depends on the nude. Nude can sometimes show through more than red. Red is supposed to be better at canceling out when worn under white. I only tried with one red bra but it was with a top that definitely was on the see through side
