What time does your 5 yrs old - kindergarten finish school? Ours finishes at 1 but has an option for extended care until 3. Since we’re not able to pay full tuition and don’t qualify for subsidies she’s not allowed to join extended care. I feel it’s crazy that school should even have the option to finish at 1. Way too early for a 5 yr. Old. I feel it should automatically go until 3. I’m very upset about it

3:25 but you can pay for aftercare.
Do you work that you can't get him then? If so, just tell them that if you have to quit your job to take him home you'll have to pay even less tuition.
It really comes down to is it preschool or part of elementary school? Till 1 is normal preschool.

My daughter turned 5 last spring so was in what we can Nursery or a 4 year old class they finished at 2 with an option to say until 3:45.
This year she is going to K and school is 8:45-3:50.
My boys that age in pre1a were 8:30-3:45.

Its the year before Pre1a so technically part of preschool but still so early for this age. I can technically pick her up but she’s going to be so bored and drive me crazy until the other kids come home at 4

By us preschool ends at 3 and elementary school (which includes kindergarten by us) is til 3:30.

5 year old was pre1a and school ended 3:30. I paid for aftercare till 4:30.

So thats really still preschool so till 1 isn't crazy. And it's not crazy for them to say that if you're a SAHM not paying full tution, you don't have full day preschool (where I live they don't give any discounts for preschool since you could still keep your kids home then if you're not working...)
So you need to figure out how to fill your afternoons with scheduled low cost activities- whether that's memberships to places or errands and baking with him etc.

2:45/3:00 dismissal.
11:45/12:00 dismissal Friday as and half days.
Same for the summer.

If she is 5 now will she turn 6 still in preschool? Because I would be concerned that its not stimulating enough for a kid that age. My kids are all 5 turning 6 in pre1a/K.
