Yes, I like herring, but not the old-fashioned kind with the skin and the bones. (I used to, but now the aftertaste bothers me.)
I really enjoy ptcha! It was a real treat in our house. The more solid, the better.

I love herring. It helps that my husband works with it. I have freezers full of frozen herring. Friday night he prepares it for kiddishes. And yes, I love gala, we all do.

Yep!! Prefer wine herring but ok with cream herring too.
So excited when it is at kiddush and not just on men's side. I mean why do they get all the good food?!?

I like herring at specific times. Like when I'm in the mood. And if it's good herring.
My BIL makes a homemade herring that is delicious.
I tasted ptcha at my SIL's Aufruf. Nu nu. Reminds me of congealed chicken soup. It's okay.
