Hi! Does anyone know what chabad hashkafa is on this question I have? They do shluchos all over the world and invite guests… I’m sure people come to chabad houses on shabbos with children or pushing a baby stroller… many of these places don’t have an eiruv… how can they be inviting the guest? What would they answer the guest if the guest asks them this very question…

Don't know about chabad

My father in kiruv got a psak from a very famous rw yeshivish, machmir major posek (pretty sure it was Rav Moshe Sternbuch - but I need to ask) that as long as he offers them to stay over and sleep if they want to and they are told when candle lighting is before shabbos, we can invite and it is there business if they are mechalel shabbos to come for the meal.

Yes that's the general Psak amongst lubavitch Rabbonim also. If they were offered to sleep over OR could get there without being mechalel shabbos (ie, it's walking distance but they chose to drive) then it's fine

But let’s say they don’t even know? They don’t even know that they are not allowed to drive or carry a child or item… can you still invite them?

Frum people in our community get a non Jew to push their carriage.

We can't control how people get to us. Even if they live 10 minutes walk away they will probably use their phones for directions.

As long as its a reasonable walk, we invite people. We have had (shomer shabbos) people walking up to 2 hours so thats a long way!

Yes

As long as you are offering them the option to come without being mechalel shabbos, you dont need to inform them of all the details of hilchos shabbos.

Obviously, as in all areas of halacha, there are other poskim who feel differently, but that is the consensus.
