Playdate makes my boys wild, what to do?

My children are usually quite calm and quiet.
Whenever a more gregarious child comes to play, they all go crazy hurting each other, slamming doors, breaking things, being super wild and won't listen to me. This is mostly when the playdate is a confident, more extroverted girl (I have mostly boys). It's like they're showing off and someone always gets hurt. They can't play nicely at all. What should I do? Refuse playdates? Any coping tips?

Sounds like they don't know how to play with others and need defined activities to be doing otherwise they start running around for play

Sounds like boys being boys to me. Yes, they’re showing off. Kids act differently with friends than they do at home, the dynamics are different. Define “hurt” — skinned knee? Bumped head? Bruises? Stitches? If it doesn’t involve medical treatment after, allow it, but make them go outside for your sanity.

Would more structure help? "Come to the table we're playing play doh now." When it's starts looking like they're coming to the end, "let's clean up and then we'll have a snack"

Kids should be allowed to act like kids and be wild every once in a while. It's healthy & good for them.
