We aren't making this much yet but DH wants to know where we should even be trying to get to. I told him over quarter million he thinks I'm nuts.

Can you please tell me which of these numbers are off or whatever. We are family of 12 kah OOT so lower housing but older kids all need to go to high schools with dorms.

$8,500 tuition (prob will need discounts even for this)
$3,000 tax (est federal and state)
$2,500 food and household (diapers paper goods etc)
$2,250 housing (incl utilities)
$2,000 maaser
$1,500 medical (health share)
$700 car pmt and insurance
$650 gas tolls maintenace
$500 clothing and shoes (incl teens and parents)
$500 yom tov (incl pesach)
$500 simchas (bar mitzvah coming up etc)
$500 misc (incl travel for schools)
$100 cell phones

Total over $23k/month or $280k/year

(We are making less than half of this now DH doesn't believe me that we need to make this much and still barely raise our standard of living)

It might be ideal to sit down with someone trained for this. They don't only help you cut down, but they help you figure out ways to stretch the income. Once we did this (with RSK) we saw tremendous siyata dishmaya.
Some things could be cut back and some things are truly fixed.
