My dd came home from school today so upset. She said that during gym, some girls were rooting for the other girl to win in a game of handball and after the other girl did win, the whole class cheered for her. Understandably, my dd was upset. We started talking about those girls who started the cheering and she told me that this girl is kind of mean. I tried to explain to her how she should handle it, etc...
Then she tells me that a lot of times girls ask her to share things with them, but when she asks them, they say, no, but she still continues to share with them. I also suggested how she can handle that.
I am so proud of how in a class (not the whole class) full of meanies, she still continues to walk in the derech hatorah.

I hope that is the case. Please investigate further, and make sure she is not being a shmatte in the hopes of winning these girls over.

I asked her if she shares so they'll be friends with her and she looked at me like I was crazy. She said she does it because it's the right thing to do.

well I agree with both OP and crayon here ... while you should be very proud a good person remains good despite the people around them ... but associating with their negative behaviors can't be too good ... teach your dd the difference - she doesn't need to lose respect of self ...
