I really can’t afford spending $800 a month. But I keep seeing people post about spending 250. Where do you get it for this price? My pcp didn’t think it’s possible to purchase it for less. So if you did get it for a lower cost, where do you get it and how do you know that it’s the real medication?
All info would be so appreciated!

ETA: I’ve seen some ads for lower priced Ozempic in the frum mags. If you have purchased through them, how do you confirm that the medication is authentic?

I’m from Canada, you can’t get it here without a prescription.

You need a prescription everywhere. There's no such a thing.

I buy it locally in Monroe from a nurse. I pay $100 per mg.

I'm 7 months in and still on a very low dose. Probably 1/3 mg a week. Which technically means I'm paying less than 100 per month.

It’s for sure a lot cheaper here ($250/pen) but I don’t see how anyone from outside Canada can get it

Please note that getting from a compounding pharmacy is risky! There is a high chance that the product your paying less for is in fact NOT ozempic. The same is true for Canadians trying to get it for much cheaper.

If I needed it, I would not hesitate to buy it from Canada. It’s not a third world country.

Definitely not a third worl country, I agree. But they can scam you nonetheless. Buyer beware. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

My PCP gave me a script and told me about Pharmaserve, a Canadian pharmacy that mails it to you. I did it once so far, and I was very happy. It was about $420 a month. You can look them up online.
My PCP also warned me about these companies in NY who advertise it for $250. She said it's risky and she's had patients who had complications with it.
