First of all its not next door to Tam Eden. It's 2 blocks away.
Second of all this is a sit in Cafe.

For accuracy sake it’s less than a block away. Taam Eden is on 46 and they will be between 45 and 46

Exactly, they're opening pretty to TE and I'm sure they know it.
As for who will be affected- Hopefully no one but I guess we'll see. I know most of us BPers are wondering about this.

That's not Jewish life. We have halachos about this. Two stores selling the same items are not allowed to open within a certain distance. Hopefully they followed the halachos and it's far enough...

Within a densely populated place like boro park distance may be different. Everyone should ask their own sheila.
