Looking for updated information on ramat beit shemesh hey. What type of people live there? What is shopping like? Is a car a necessity?

Thanks!

There is no shopping. You need a car. A shopping center is being built , probably 2 years to completion.
Tons of construction and dust.
It's a mix of Israeli chareidi, anglos and DL Israelis.
Fantastic DL elementary school. Everyone else buses out for school.

Thank you! Are the anglos mostly DL/MO or chareidi/yeshivish? How far is it to stores?

A car is not a requirement but it’s helpful. It’s a beautiful community. It ranges from Israeli dati to chardal to charedi/chassidish. The Anglos have just as wide of a range.

Dust is because of construction. That’s life while building.

There will be a community center, country club and shopping when it’s built but there’s shopping within a 10 minute or less bus ride. I walk it and there’s shopping both a 5 and 10 minutes walk away.

Very happy b”h

That was totally a term when I started dating 20 years ago in America and its pretty prevalent in RBS/BS.

I have lived here for over 18 years and I rarely hear that word. It’s definitely not mainstream where I come from. And I probably fit that category as well. There are some Shula Or most of the people have gone to yu
Maybe the area you’re in is more of those people. It’s definitely not a term here. I don’t think I’ve heard it in years actually. Don’t know why I’m harping on this. My daughter lives in that area. It’s a big mix of people but very hard to get around with a car. I have a couple friends there without Cars and they are pretty miserable. Well, miserable when it comes to transportation. There’s not buses on the street when it’s hot. It’s hard. I think it’s very hard to get around this area and general without a car.

I don't understand why. Tons of Arabs, a dust, no stores, very few busses, why would anyone move there? I work there and I just don't get it.

New Bldgs. The inside of some of the bldgs. are gorgeous. You are paying for the extra's. You can get around without a car but it won't be easy. Most families that live there will have more than 1 car.
