Temporary internet service in the UK. What's available?

I live in Europe and I'm going to the UK for a week in August.

We'll be staying in a flat where there is no internet.

My husband mentioned that there is something we can pay for that would allow us to have internet access for a short period of time.

Does anyone know what is called and where I could get it?

You can hotspot from your phone, but that will burn through your data quite fast, unless you have unlimited.
Your best bet is to buy a dongle and then you just get a pay as you go sim card that goes inside it. You should be able to buy a dongle from amazon, or a phone provider, and the sim card from any phone provider.

I was going to get an e Sim for my phone which will have limited data but I'll use that when we're out and about but I wanted to find out what else is available that we could use in the flat.

A Mifi? I think rcuk used to rent them out, not sure if they've stopped. I would call them, they would probably be able to tell you your options.

Depends on where you are, it's also possible to connect to an EE hotspot and buy an Internet pass for a length of time.
