Do you go away for the holidays or do you stay home?

I rarely go away for the holidays. It's often impractical in a hotel.

We are always home, with company invited. The whole family+ always comes to us! That reminds me, gotta start working on my simanim for Rosh Hashana soon -- or at least shop for the ingredients.....

We usually stay home and eat some meals home and some by parents or friends. Rosh Hashana is going to be a problem as my dh's shul finishes later than most and my parents will not want to wait, so we may eat one or both day meals at home.

home thorughout, although overseas inlaws invited us and my parents also would love us to come. its just much easier at home with kids. like when I go daven I know my DD age 4 will have friends in neighborhood to play with, most of the mothers on my block stay home, I have a babysitter.
as for succos, I made succos @ home 2 years ago and my DH loved it so much so he wants to stay home again! I just gotta expand my succah since my family grew since then

home for r"h and y"k; succos home and away.
On r"h and y"k I'll get together with a SIL this way we can daven a little and the kids don't climb the walls. We'll probably switch off day meals.

we dont usually go away but I never make any of the meals. When we were living near my in laws we went to them. This year we live near my parents and we're going to them for meals because I have no time to cook this year My DH would rather stay home for meals.

We are going "away" to my parents. Usually everybody comes to us but with two newborns it's just easier to be there this year.
