Denim jumper - what shell?

I bought myself a beautiful soft blue denim jumper (it doesn't look too denim-like).

Which color shell should I wear with it? White, black or a blue to match?

I want to look trendy and up to date...

and would that look okay on an adult too? I feel like its a lot of denim and the black contrast might be too stark as theres so little black and so much denim

You can do a shell if the sleeves are on the longer side, like almost to the elbow. I’d do white
For a jumper I’d do a crop tee or cardi on top

And can the ribbed t-shirt be white or should it be blue?

Re cardigan - the jumper has buttons down the front, I am not sure it's still a good look. What do you think?

Take a v neck ribbed t from dress blank wear it on top of jumper and make a knot two inches below the bust line towards the side or center. Making it cropped above the jumper

White shell or blue to match can be cute. Black and denim is winter. And NO you do not have to wear a cropped top over it. That look os trending but it doesn’t mean it’s the ONLY thing that’s allowed to be worn. Many regular jumpers around and trendy.

I have a sleeveless denim dress that I bought a few weeks ago. I wear it with a white 3/4 sleeve Hanes t-shirt. Depending on my mood, I either wear it with my sneakers or with my sandals. They’re not open though, they’re sneaker sandals.
