I am getting re-married and am middle-aged. Chasunah is in Israel (I am in Brooklyn) and the Shabbos Kallah is being kindly hosted by someone I have never met or spoken to (we did text). The only person that I will know at the SK will be my own daughter. As far as I know, ladies who stop by will be wives of the choson's shul friends, etc.
I would like to bring a gift for the hostess. I asked if I could bring her anything from NY and she said no as she will be in the states in a couple months anyway. Whatever I bring, it needs to be lightweight and relatively small, as we are packed at capacity with wedding dress etc. (won't have time to pick up anything in Israel, we are arriving close to the wire on a Friday).
My only thought thus far was a sparkly acrylic pushke (lightweight) from Amazing Savings or Closeout connection. I have seen pretty ones at both recently... but I don't know her taste at all.
Does anyone have a suggestion?
