I'm currently getting my insurance through Cobra. The 18 months is about to end, but they offer a 6 month extension. But ONLY for the medical part. That means, no dental.

Is there a dental plan that I can buy if it's not through an employer?

I don't think it's worth it unless you have bad teeth. You'll be better off paying out of pocket for work as needed
