For a 3 year old that needs speech therapy.
Which companies do you reach out to? Anything I need to know about (specifically request for) that would help a totally ignorant mama out?
Thanks in advance

I’m not sure what you mean by company. Are you looking to go through insurance?

Navigating therapies can sometimes be difficult here.
From 0-3 is early intervention. You can no longer use this service.
Ages 3-5 there's no program for. Once the kids start school, they can qualify through BOE.
What insurance do you have? Does it cover speech therapy?
Some therapists are private pay only.
What are you doing therapy specifically for? There are therapists who specialize in specific areas. It might help you narrow down who to see.

If your child is 3 you can do 2 things
1-call board of Ed and say "my child has speech delays I'd like him evaluated". If his delays are significant he might be eligible for special ed program, to either public school, or stars to get therapy.
2- askk your dr for a referral so your medical insurance can cover.
Call your insurance and see who they work with. Call and make an appointment for evaluation.
3- you can also find out who is a good speech therapist and pay out of pocket if you can, you'll probably get better therapy that way but it will be much more expensive.

Bumping.
Thank you all for your responses.
Who would you say is a good speech therapist? Any recommendations? Willing to pay out of pocket if I have to.
