Another one using supermarket bags.
I have a roll of rubbish bags for emergencies, normally associated with Pesach cleaning.

Two over shabbos.
I recycle most plastic and all cardboard/paper.

Did you know you can fry food on the stovetop in a disposable pan? No washing frying pans.

All true, but I’m in NJ where we pay for shopping bags too..

I absolutely reuse grocery bags and any other available bags for garbage
Why in the world not? They are already there and I repurpose them on the spot.
And when I don’t have any, then I use proper ones.

2 tall kitchen bags on a regular day. 3 on weekends when we are all home. We don't use a lot of disposable paper goods. Only some on shabbos. Family of 6.

Family of 5. Large kitchen garbage bags goes out twice a week. Large recycling bag goes out once a week. Small bathroom garbages get emptied once a week.

Usually less than one 30 gallon bag in the kitchen (emptied every day and a half probably). 9 in household. Plus a few other smaller bags throughout the house but not every day.
We use mostly real dishes (TYH for dishwashers!) and recycle when possible.

I could have written this post. I have very little for store bought garbage bags, 99% of the time I use free grocery bags.

I'd say it comes out to probably 3 Glad tall kitchen drawstring trash bags (13 gallon) every 2 days.

Are you talking about the produce store?
Yes to check out, you could bring your own. Most produce store have small plastic bags to put in your cucumbers and radishes ect... They are not very big, good for single use like throwing out diapers.

Yes.
I have a stash of reusable bags in my trunk that I take along with me into the store..
Those flimsy bags for fruit and veggies I use to cover counter when peeling vegetables/ cleaning chicken etc..

Maybe I should go back to a large garbage can that holds a 30 gallon bag.
Used 1 bag a day.
Now I’m using 2 (sometimes 3) 13 gallon bags for my smaller but nicer stainless steel can.
Anyone know of a large stainless steel can for a good price?
