Fri night after lighting I sit with the kids and we read together. It is the highlight of my week. Shabbos we often hang out there
Dur8ng the week I don't really have tine and the couches are not so comfortable anyway bec they are v v broken and hard to get up from bec you sit almost on the floor. Don't have time to replace them although we could afford it at a stretch. I relax on my bed after kids asleep and I have cleaned up the house- it is usually only 30 minutes anyway as I go to bed early and get up early (4.30am) for work.

I seldom sit on the couch as I'm short, the couch is deep, and my feet dangle. I lie on the couch instead. Almost every night for my bedtime reading session.

Every morning at 6:30 I sit on the couch with my coffee and have 20 minutes of alone time. Its beautiful.

When I started work at 7 with an hour commute I used to get up at 4.30, too. I don't start at 7 anymore but I still get up on the early side. Early morning is the best part of the day, especially during a heat wave. In darkest winter, not so much.

during the week My couch is full of toys, things that need to be returned, books ... no place to sit 
On Shabbos I do sit a lot.
