I can't think about wearing pantyhose or knee highs or thigh highs or a plane for 10 hours. Do you think it's cool enough on the plane to wear leggings?
I'm almost tempted to wear a long skirt (which I don't wear anymore) so that I can just wear socks and comfortable shoes. My daughter is planning to wear a comfortable a-line skirt with leggings.
Do you have a comfortable clothing system when you travel on long flights? If so, please describe.
Thank you : )

It's usually quite cool on airplanes. Personally I am more often too cold than too warm on the plane.
What's the problem with wearing a long skirt and socks? That it is out of style or something else? For a 10 hours flight you need to be comfortable IMO. I would have gone for the long skirt.

Thank you for your encouragement! Nothing is wrong with a long skirt! I love long skirts! But I stopped wearing them because of both my age and the circles I often found myself in where some women don't wear them because they are lo-mechubad. Whatever. Just my cameleon personality always trying to not seem rebellious or disrespectful. "Mishagas" on my part.
But you've encouraged me to wear it for the plane. I really do think it will be the most comfortable.
Gracias!

I wear a zip up, leggings, and short skirt. I also bring a snood to change into and spare top and underwear.

This is exactly what I do as well.

I bring in my carry on leggings, socks and a long skirt. I change on the plane. I also bring a tichel to change into. I usually don't change back before I land.

I think the shorter skirt, leggings, and some kind of a zip up makes sense. I will say that I was once on a flight with a chassidish woman, her mother, and her baby. They were so calm and organized throughout the flight and the baby was angelic. About 45 minutes before landing, they each went into the restroom, freshened up, and changed their clothing from more casual gear (including the baby.) I was really impressed. They emerged from the flight looking better than I have ever seen economy class passengers!

I usually wear a short, loose, soft and stretchy dress, a headscarf, leggings, comfy ankle sox, and sneakers/slipper shoes that can be worn with or without sox. The leggings and sox go on and off as I get hot or cold. Same for a hoodie I keep in my carry on.
