I have recurrent miscarriages/secondary infertility - on heavy blood thinners right now and b"H almost done first trimester (for the first time in many many years, surreal). my infertility clinic (Premium) said I need to find an OBGYN now. I'm terrified.
I need a really skilled, on-top-of-things kind of place that will really monitor me well. be on top of things FULLY, really check. I can't handle losing another baby, for my own mental wellbeing, through the type of office that would say 'call back during regular hours' or not do enough bloodwork.
I used BP OBGYN with my first, but I'd like to use another practice.
Premium said they have an OB/GYN -- are they specialized enough?
Anyone else have experience with recurrent miscarriages etc and work with a GREAT OB?

By saying you need a specialized ob/gyn they're probably referring to an MFM.
Ask around for any in your area or there are several good ones in the city.
Hope all goes well. Bsha tovah.

Of course there are mfm in Brooklyn..every hospital has one!
Many don't practice as primary obs..u go to a regular ob visit and see mfm for consult.
For example if you see BP obgyn they will tell you to follow with maimonides mfm group

yes! just read his website and reviews. THAT's the kind of doc I'm looking for. thorough, calm, brilliant, experienced, on top of things.
Have to decide if it's worth the commute as I don't drive. but thank you for the name.

He is not the warmest, but he is calm and extremely experienced. He was in touch with my midwives and gave me the clear to have the birth I wanted. I had a very scary situation and he wasnt the type to hold my hand he was matter of fact but his sono techs are all nice, especially one named Jennifer. And I really liked his secretary she was very quick at getting back to me, squeezed me in the next day type etc.
When I was there I always saw chassidish couples from BK. Its doable. Not so far and you could uber. Just use him, its worth the commute for something so special (your baby iyh)

If you're looking to stay in Brooklyn I'm really happy bH with the Adler group. Manhattan doctors with Mount Sinai yet on Ocean Parkway. Atime actually recommended them to me. They work closely with the Rebarber group (MFM) in the city a- more high risk. if I were you I'd meet Dr. Adler and ask him if he can work with you. He's especially nice and honest. Has no problem referring out.
Actually I once met a girl there who was pregnant after infertility with different risks and she told me Dr. Adler actually scheduled appointments on her behalf with different specialists while still seeing her. He's really something. And you'd be staying local. You can pm with any questions. been with them for several years and several births bH!
