My 6 year old son is in a mainstream yeshiva in bklyn. He is struggling in a few ways. The first is that he is very advanced academically. The second is that he struggles with social emotional, at the group level with peers. He thrives with 1:1 or in adults but cannot blend in with his peers. I am looking for something that may better suit his needs. All ideas welcome. Thanks

This was my almost 14 year old. He was in a mainstream yeshiva for Nursery (4 year olds) Pre1a and 1st grade and barely treaded water. He made the most progress in 2nd grade when we did a joint program of his yeshiva and a therapeutic school. The class of 7 boys with 2 teachers and the constant social redirection helped him so so much. He wasn't getting it in his class of 20. His rebbe was outstanding but he was only one person. So I would look outside the mainstream options. My son was able to go back to yeshiva for 3rd grade for a full day. But the intensive social coaching made a huge difference.
