Is it tacky? It's either email or nothing, and the emails are a few sentences (but ones that are actually true to each teacher and thought out), and school is already over...but I'm trying not to let "perfect" be the enemy of "good." Is it okay?

Yes fursure , it's a great idea. Everyone enjoys getting a nice thank you for the hard work they put in. Another option is mailing a letter ( which I was thinking of doing) but you said that it's that or nothing .... So definitely that's better!

I actually prefer emails to handwritten cards. Maybe it's just me.
If you want to be extra nice, CC the principal. That is always appreciated.

Definitely good, especially if the alternative is nothing.

Absolutely! I teach my kids to write thank you notes to their teachers at the end of the year. My younger ones handwrite them and draw pictures but my older ones prefer to email. It's all good!
