Do you make sure your child knows someone in the day camp

You send them to? Toddler age. 3 yrs-4yrs old
Or do you figure they’ll make friends once they get there even if they don’t know anyone there?

Ideally I would like them to know someone but it doesn’t always work out that way.

At that age no. I find kids will play with anyone and really dont care.

If they were in school over the year, I would try to find out where the other moms are sending. They might not need to have a familiar face but it certainly doesn't hurt.

I don’t need a group but I try to prioritize having at least one familiar face at that age. Younger not so much but 4 year olds have friends, they ask for play dates and they understand that they’re going to a new place. Knowing someone there makes it a a lot less scary of a transition.
