Anyone have a recipe for the zucchini in tomato sauce dish?
Prefer if I can make it in the oven 😊

I can’t help with the oven part:(
Sauté an onion. Add sliced zucchini with a can of tomato sauce, salt and pepper. Cook until zucchini is cooked to your liking

I saw a recipe that said to add a bit of sugar to take out any bitterness…

I sauté an onion and squash until it’s soft.
Add a can of tomato sauce, salt, pepper and 1/2 plastic cup of add sugar.
You can adjust seasoning to taste

I sauté onions and mushrooms and the. Add coarsely diced zucchini and yellow squash. I add a jar of marinara and a jar of water with spices and cook. When I make sloppy Joe’s I add browned ground beef and put the whole concoction over noodles.

A bit of sugar is to counteract the bitter/acidity of the tomato sauce. I would always recommend a bit of sugar with anything that uses tomato sauce or tomato paste. If you are using marinara or spaghetti sauce, it already has the sugar.
