I lost a favorite recipe of mine and hoping maybe someone here has it? It's a marinated salmon with a creamy sauce. It tastes like herring.. anyone?

Gravlax is marinated salmon which is typically served with a creamy mustard dill sauce.
Not sure if that is what you are looking for.

I think she means pickled salmon… there are lots of simple recipes.

My relative makes it. She calls it cream sauce salmon. It's like creamy pickled salmon. It's the white creamy shtigletz herring sauce.

6-8 slices salmon
Cook in salted water for 20 min
Peel the skin and let cool
Meanwhile combine
1/2 cup each
Boiling water
Sugar
Lemon juice
Ketchup
Mayonnaise
Cut 2 white onions and 3 bay leaves over the fish and pour sauce over it.
